Hi there!

My name is Paige and I am a fourth year student at UVic and a member of the UVic women’s soccer team.

I was born and raised in Kelowna, BC by my mom and dad; Cathy and Kipp. I am the eldest of four children, I have two younger sisters and a younger brother; Kaley, Riley and Kody. We have a family dog named Bear, he is a lab-husky cross.

I spent my first year at the University of Regina where I started to study in the Faculty of Science and play my first year of varsity soccer. I transferred to UVic for my second year to continue pursuing sciences and soccer. After my third year of studying, I decided to switch my major to Political Science with hopes to one day attend law school. I have always wanted to become a lawyer but I was not certain on the path I wanted to take to get there. I am thankful for the first few years of my undergrad because it taught me what kind of learner I am, how I study the most efficiently and what classes I enjoy vs dislike.

I signed up for this course because due to COVID-19 and the online learning journey that we are all embarking on, it could not be more relevant to us. I am also under the impression that online learning and social media is only going to grow its presence in all of our lives (personal and professional) so I would like to gain expertise in the area.

Thanks! I look forward to getting to know you too.

– Paige
