Creating a multimedia lesson plan before creating multimedia content is important for a variety of reasons. The purpose of a multimedia lesson plan is to summarize the objectives and goals of the lesson. It also helps the teacher plan their content and required materials. As the overall end goal is to provide a quality lesson to the learners,  it is important to discover what methods work best.

Planning is the initial step that needs to be taken when brainstorming how to teach a lesson. The content creating comes after the plan has come to fruition. Multimedia lesson plans should include the following: a goal, prior knowledge, structure, delivery, and content. The goal is the purposeful lesson that you want to teach to your learners. Prior knowledge aids the learning process because if students can grasp previous information then they will flow through the lesson better. Structure is crucial because it looks at the lesson in a simple light making it easier to perform. Delivery is simply how you will share the lesson. There are many options for delivery such as, a blog post, a video, or a forum to name a few. Lastly, content is all of the required materials that are required for the lesson.

The following H5P video is my first creation with H5P. It goes through a process of how to use UVic summons data base. Please follow along and enjoy the H5P features.

Below, is my multimedia lesson plan that I created
